The interns are coming part 2

Adam Everett is going to be our Student Ministry Intern. He will be here for the summer and fall. We are excited about having someone who will oversee and drive our student ministry to new heights.

Check out this bio!

Hey! My name is Adam Everett, 22, from Crawfordsville, Indiana. I am currently finishing up my senior year at Lincoln Christian College, in Lincoln, Illinois. I will be graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in youth ministry and preaching. While being at LCC I had the privilege to spend four years on the men’s basketball team. Through playing and coaching basketball God developed in me a passion for working with youth, and has continued to burn within me a desire to see kids succeed in all aspects of life. Over the last few years I have been volunteering in a campaign that seeks to bring hope to the world through loving God and loving people. I’ve spent the majority of this campaign in the Midwest as a youth minister, serving a local congregation, though I feel as if my heart beats in rhythm with the city. So when Danny told me this same campaign is going on in Tampa I couldn't help but think of what a great opportunity it would be to partner with a community that is expressing the same faith, hope, and love.

The interns are coming prt 1

We are fortunate to have a group of interns coming this summer. Our first primary set of interns are Duane and Abbey Chew. Duane will be our General Ministry intern and Abbey will serve as our Preaching Ministry intern. They will both invest heavily into our Sunday morning services and have been active in a church plant in Knoxville, TN called The Crossings.

Here is their bio.

We hail originally from central Indiana, but have been hanging around Knoxville, Tennessee for 3 years now. We were high school sweethearts in Indiana and will have been married for one year this coming May 19th. We have an unhealthy desire to watch movies and also enjoy good music, seafood, board games and card games, friendly dogs, and the anticipation of moonlit walks on the beach....in Tampa....for there are no beaches to be found up here... We plan to finish our educations at Johnson Bible College in 2009 and to live out faithful lives to Christ wherever we go after that. We are so very excited about serving with Common Ground Tampa this summer and are in continual prayer and thought about the relationships to be founded and the activities to be done! We hope to not only gain quality experience but to make new and lasting friendships in Tampa.
